Improper spraying of machine oil on the pelvic portion (shell) of the hip prosthesis can result in the patient's bone failing to bond with the shell. The resulting abnormal motion of the unbonded component of the hip results in extreme pain and limited joint mobility. The only treatment is replacemnt (revision surgery) of the defective component with the additional pain, expense and recovery time.
If you or anyone you know have recieved a Sulzer hip prosthesis and experienced any adverse symptoms, you may have a valid legal claim.
